Making toys

Toymaking

As far back as I can remember I have been making things.

As an adult I made toys for nieces and nephews and a bit later for my son, pull-toys, swords and shields, skateboards and even a full sized rocking horse. Soon I was receiving commissions to make toys for the children of friends and friends-of-friends and here we are.

I have no agenda or mission but it has become apparent that there is a want for wooden toys that are simpler and inspire the use of imagination. I frequently hear stories of toys that have been played with and then handed down to the next generation and so-on and now rest on a shelf, worn but still there. I love the thought that a toy I have made will be a played with by many small hands for many years.
